F/O E.F.St Aubin of No 616  Squadron wounded on the 26th of August 1940. He crash landed his Spitfire I (R7018) at Eastchurch after a scrap with a Bf 109. The aircraft burst into flames after the landing but was repaired and used again.
F/O Peter Cape Beauchamp St John joined No 74 Squadron on the 7th of May 1940 from No 501 Squadron. He was K.I.A. on the 22nd of October 1940. His Spitfire II (P7431) was shot down by a Bf 109 over South Nutfield, Surrey at 15:30hrs.
P/O W.M.C.Samolinski from Poland of No 253 Squadron was killed on the 26th of September 1940 at 11:00hrs. His Hurricane I (V7470) was shot down over the Channel.
F/Lt. James G.Sanders flew with No 615 Squadron in Hurricane's in France and during the Battle of Britain. On the 18th of August 1940 he had a half share of a Ju 88. He was awarded the D.F.C. by the King on the 27th of June 1940.
Sgt. A.R.Sarre of No 603 Squadron baled safely out of his Spitfire I (R7021) on the 30th of August 1940 at 16:55hrs after combat with a Bf 109 near West Malling, Kent. He was wounded on the 7th of September 1940 when he baled out of his Spitfire I (P9467) over the Thames Estuary at 17:30hrs.
P/O C.H.(FishySaunders of No 92 Squadron was wounded on the 9th of September 1940 at 17:30hrs. He crash landed his Spitfire I (L1077) near Rye after being attacked by a Bf 109.
F/Lt. G.A.W.Saunders flew with No 65 Squadron in Spitfire I's during the Battle of Britain. He assumed command of the Squadron after the death of S/L H.C.Sawyer on the 2nd of August 1940 until A.L.Holland arrived to take command in mid August.
Sgt. J.E.Savill joined No 151 Squadron on the 2nd of July 1940. Savill shot down a Dornier Do 17 on the 13th of August 1940. Savill survived the Battle but beyond that his fate is unknown.
Sgt. C.J.Saward of No 501 Squadron was on patrol on the 18th of September 1940. He baled out of his Hurricane I (V6600) safely after being shot down by a Bf 109 over Tonbridge at 09:35hrs.
S/L Henry Cecil 'Sam' Sawyer of No 65 Squadron was killed on the 2nd of August 1940. He was taking off for night patrol, he crashed and the Spitfire I (R6799) was burned out.

F/O G.E.T.Scrase flew with No 600 Squadron during the Battle of Britain. While testing the stalling speed of a Beaufighter V on the 28th of September 1941, Scrase went into a spin. His radio observer baled out safely but Scrase was killed.
P/O K.Schadtler-Law of No 605 Squadron was injured when his Hurricane I (P2717) was hit by return fire from some Heinkel He 111's of KG 26 off Newcastle on the 15th of August 1940, at 14:20hrs. His Hurricane was repaired after he force landed on Hartlepool Golf course.
F/Lt L.H.Schwind flew with No 257 Squadron & No 213 Squadron during the Battle of Britain. He was killed on the 27th of September 1940 at 09:25hrs. His Hurricane I (N2401) was shot down over Gatwick by a Bf 110.
P/O Kirkpatrick MacLure Sclanders a Canadian flew with No 242 Squadron. He died on the 9th of September 1940 at 17:30hrs. He crash landed his Hurricane I (P3087) near Rye after being attacked by a Bf 109.
Sgt. E.Scott of No 222 Squadron was killed on the 27th of September 1940 at 16:00hrs. He failed to return in his Spitfire I (P9364).
P/O I.M.W.Scott No 607 Squadron baled out of his Hurricane I (P3860) safely after colliding with another member of his Squadron (I.B.Difford) on the 7th of October 1940 at 16:00hrs.
Sgt. J.A.Scott of No 74 Squadron was shot down and killed on the 27th of October 1940 in his Spitfire II (P7526) by a Bf 109 over Maidstone at 09:00hrs.
F/O W.J.Scott of No 41 Squadron was flying a Spitfire I (N3038) on the 29th of July 1940 at 07:50hrs. He had been in combat with Ju 87's and Bf 109's off Dover and went to land, but his under-carriage collapsed when he touched down. He escaped the 'PRANG' and was not injured. W.J.Scott was shot down and killed off Dover in a Spitfire I (R6756) by a Bf 109 on the 8th of September 1940 at 12:15hrs.
P/O F.D.S.Scott-Maldon flew with No 611 Squadron and No 603 Squadron in Spitfire I's during the Battle of Britain. He was to be awarded the D.F.C and promotion to Group Captain.
Sgt. E.W.Seabourne of No 238 Squadron was shot down in flames on the 13th of August 1940 in his Hurricane I (P3764) by a Bf 109 at 07:30hrs. His body was rescued from the sea.
P/O L.A.Sears joined No 145 Squadron in June. On the 1st of  July 1940 he shot down a Dornier Do 17. He was shot down in his Hurricane (P2955) by a Bf 109 south of the Isle of Wight on the 8th of August 1940, at 09:05hrs. He was posted M.I.A. aged 19.
P/O Eugene Seghers a Belgian with No 32 Squadron  was shot down into the sea on the 24th of August by a Bf 109 near Eltham at 16:30hrs in his Hurricane I (V6567). He got away with an enforced bath, he went on patrol the next day and had his first success three days later.
Sgt. Ray Sellers joined No 111 Squadron on the 17th of August 1940. and he had 34 hrs logged on Hurricane's.  He logged 122 flying hours during the Battle of Britain. He was shot down on the 26th of August 1940 during combat with a couple of Bf 110's over Essex. He then transferred to No 46 Squadron at Stapelford Tawney  (a satellite airfield for North Weald ) on the 18th of September after recovering in hospital. The day that the Squadron lost Sgt.G.W.Jeffries. Ray Sellers was later promoted to Flight Lieutenant and awarded the A.F.C.
