Sgt A.Wojcicki from Poland of No 213 Squadron was killed on the 11th of September 1940 at 16:00hrs. He was shot down in his Hurricane I (V6667) off Selsey Bill.
Sgt. S.V.Wood was with No 248 Squadron during the Battle of Britain flying in Blenheim's. On the 20th of October 1940 he was on a recce sortie off the Norwegian coast flying in Blenheim IVf (P6952) when he was shot down and made a P.O.W. Also in the crew was G.H.Baird, D.L.Burton and  R.Copcutt.
P/O D.N.Woodger of No 235 Squadron and his gunner D.L.Wright were shot down and killed in error by a Hurricane of No 1 R.C.A.F. Squadron on the 24th of August 1940 at 16:45hrs. Their Blenheim IV (T1804) crashed at Bracklesham Bay.
F/O C.A. 'Tony' 'Wombat' Woods- Scawen of No 43 Squadron destroyed a Bf 110 ten miles south of the Isle of Wight on the 8th of August 1940 . On the 13th  of August at 07:30 while on patrol in his Hurricane (R4102) he crash landed near Midhurst, Sussex after combat with a He 111. He added 6 more enemy aircraft to his score before being shot down on the 2nd of September 1940 at 14:15hrs by a Bf 109. Woods-Scawen baled out too low after the Hurricane I (V7420)  he was flying caught fire.  Woods-Scawen did not survive, he was aged 22.  
His brother  P.P.Woods-Scawen also died in tragic circumstances on the 1st of September 1940
F/O Patrick  'Woody' Woods-Scawen, was born at Karachi, India and flew with No 85 Squadron. He had scored 14 kills and was awarded the D.F.C. In a tragic incident, P.P.Woods-Scawen baled out of his Hurricane ( P3150) after a combat with a Bf 109 on the 1st of September 1940, and was killed when his parachute failed to open. His body was found on the 6th of September1940 near Kenly. He was 24.  His brother C.A. 'Tony' Woods-Scawen also died in a similar incident on the 2nd of September
Sgt. A.W.Woolley joined No 601 Squadron on the 5th of  July 1940 from No 604 Squadron, where he had been since the outbreak of war. Sgt. Woolley was on patrol in his Hurricane(P3681) off Selsey on the 11th of July 1940 at 18:20hrs. He baled out over the Isle of Wight after an attack on a Heinkel 111. His aircraft was a write off, he survived but was burned and wounded.  In another Hurricane (V7238), on the 26th of August 1940 at 16:00hrs, he crashed at Great Totham, Essex and he survived the crash.  Sgt A.W.Woolley was shot down three times during the Battle Of Britain.
S/L John 'Baron' Worrall was Commanding Officer of No 32 Squadron in May 1940. On the 20th of July 1940 he force landed his Hurricane I (N2532) near Hawkinge after combat with a Bf 109 at 18:20hrs. S/L J.Worrall was awarded the D.F.C. on the 6th of August 1940, although it is unclear what for, as his only listed victory is noted as occurring on the 15th of August a half-share.
F/O Pyers A.Worrall from No 85 Squadron flying on patrol over Tunbridge on the 31st of August 1940 at 13:30hrs in his Hurricane I (V6581). He baled out and was slightly injured in the leg after a combat with a Bf 110. His rudder and elevator controls had been shot away. He was admitted to Croydon Hospital.
P/O Allen R.Wright of No 92 Squadron was wounded on the 30th of September 1940. He force landed his Spitfire I (X4069) near Shoreham after combat with a Bf 109 at 17:00hrs.
Sgt D.L.Wright  of No 235 Squadron and his pilot D.N.Woodger were shot down and killed in error by a Hurricane of No 1 R.C.A.F. Squadron on the 24th of August 1940 at 16:45hrs. Their Blenheim IV (T1804) crashed at Bracklesham Bay.
Sgt J.Wright of No 79 Squadron crashed his Hurricane I (P3676) on the 4th of September 1940 at 13:40hrs. He was wounded after combat with some Bf 110's over Biggin Hill. He died from his wounds on the 5th of September 1940.
F/Sgt Kazimierz Wünsche from Poland flew with No 303 Squadron. He was slightly burned on the 9th of September 1940 at 17:55hrs. He baled out of his Hurricane I (P3700) wounded after combat with a Bf 109 over Beachy Head. His final tally for the war was 4 confirmed kills 1 shared kill and 1 probable. He attained the rank of Flight Lieutenant.
P/O R.E.N.Wynn of No 249 Squadron was wounded on the 2nd of September 1940 at 20:00hrs. His Hurricane I (V7352) was damaged in a crash landing after combat over Rochester. R.E.N.Wynn was killed on the 7th of April 1941, he had been on convoy patrol and crashed at Ongar, Essex on his return.
