Thursday the 11th of July 1940

Day : Many recce sorties. Portland, Portsmouth and South-East convoy bombed. Further anti-shipping attacks by carried out by Luftflotte 3. RAF breaks up raids on Portland (Ju 87's from Stukageschwader 2 and 77, escorted by Bf 110's from ZG 76, and other aircraft from Luftflotte 3) and Portsmouth (He 111's of KG 55 and Bf 110's of ZG 76). Skirmishes  continued all along the Channel coast

Night : Scattered raids from South West and South East, East Anglia and along the Yorkshire coast. .

Losses: Luftwaffe 21:  Fighter Command 6.

Weather: Overcast, but bright showery weather in central areas and northern areas.
