Day: East Kent, London suburbs and Weymouth. Fighter-bombers attack in streams, instead of en`masse, at different levels and at first across Kent to outer London. Another stream strikes Weymouth.

Night:  Heavy night attacks on London, Manchester and Liverpool, and 15 airfields across the country

Losses: Luftwaffe 7: Fighter Command 7

Weather: Bright but showery; haze in Thames estuary  and  East  Anglia.
