Day: There was much reconnaissance and some sporadic light raids along the South Coast, but there were no major attacks.

Night: Widespread activity from Portsmouth to Lincolnshire with attacks to factories and airfields.

Losses: Luftwaffe 7: Fighter Command  4.

Weather: Mainly overcast, with light rain in central and eastern districts; light cloud and haze in Channel.
