off the Isle of Wight, and 2 convoys off Harwich. An attack developed in
the Dover Straits by St GI (Ju 87),
with JG 51 providing escort. First major deployment of V-LG 1 with Bf
110's. Also attacked today were shipping at Norfolk-Suffolk and Aberdeen.
Night: Raids on Bristol and South Wales. Minelaying in the Thames Estuary. Losses: Luftwaffe 9: Fighter Command 4. Weather: Fog slow to clear with much mixed cloud from Midday |
