Monday the 15th of July 1940

Day: Shipping attacks all along the Channel, in the Thames estuary (KG 2), and as far up as The Wash (Norfolk coast). The R.A.F. breaks up various raids in the West Country and South Wales. LG 1 bombed the Westland Aircraft works and the runway at Yeovil. St Athan R.A.F. Station was attacked and the airfield cratered. The railway lines near Avonmouth were also damaged.

Night:  Night minelaying in various waters.

Losses: Luftwaffe 5:  Fighter Command 2

Weather: Low cloud and overcast.
