Sunday the 14th of July 1940

Day:  Scattered shipping attacks, the main one on a convoy off Eastbourne by IV/LG 1 (Ju 87), escorted by Bf 109's of III Gruppe from JG 3. Other convoys attacked off Dover and Swanage and Ramsgate airfield was bombed.
The British Government announced that Red Cross seaplanes were no longer immune from attack as they were being used for reconnaissance.

Night: Scattered raids, Bristol, Isle of Wight, Kent and Suffolk. and on various places in Kent, Essex and Suffolk.

Losses: Luftwaffe 3: Fighter Command 1.

Weather: Light cloud with good visibility.
