Day: Raids on Norwich and the Boulton Paul factory and also shipping was attacked along the South and East coasts.

Night: Bombing of South Wales and Midlands. Minelaying off North Eeast Scotland and in the Thames Estuary. There was also leaflet dropping over the West Country.

Adolf Hitler issued Directive No 17.

Losses: Luftwaffe 5: Fighter Command 3.

Weather: Fair generally, with slowly dispersing with low cloud over the Channel.
