Day: German daylight sorties confined mainly to shipping reconnaissance in Channel. Some light raids on shipping off Falmouth.

Night: Raids at night stretch from South Wales across to Merseyside, the North Midlands, Bradford, Crewe, Liverpool, Harwich and (by Luftflotte 5) targets in Scotland. Minelaying along the North East Scottish coast and between the Thames Estuary and The Wash.

Fighter Command strength was 708 aircraft serviceable with 1,434 pilots..

Losses: Luftwaffe 4 : Fighter Command 0.

Weather: Mainly overcast, but with bright periods.
