The Battle of Britain Memorial at Folkestone
The Battle of Britain Memorial at Folkestone as a site dedicated to the men of the Battle of Britain. It is situated on the cliffs above Folkestone at what used to be called 'Hellfire Corner' by the pilots of the RAF. A lot of the dog fighting took place above these cliffs and it is a fitting tribute to the men of the RAF that the Memorial has been put there. There are some walkways and the views from the cliffs are superb.
It is well worth a visit, go for a picnic while you are there and see the wonderful views.
