Tuesday the 3rd of September 1940
Day: The attacks on the South East airfields continued. The main targets are Debden, Hornchurch and North Weald. The last is badly hit, but the other attacks are beaten off without damage.

Britain signs the Lend Lease agreement with America.

Night: Night raids continue to concentrate on Liverpool, with lesser attacks in the South East and South Wales.

Losses: Luftwaffe 16: Fighter Command 16.

Weather:  It was fine and warm with lingering haze over the Channel. Some cloud and drizzle in North.
