Tuesday the 15th of October 1940

Day: There were attacks on London, the Thames Estuary and Kent. Fighter-bomber streams hit the Kentish ports, the Thames Estuary and London in waves. Waterloo station was damaged.

Night: An even heavier night attack on London at full moon establishes a pattern foreshadowing the Blitz to come. Some 400 people are killed. Birmingham also hit and heavily  damaged..

Losses: Luftwaffe 15: Fighter Command 14
 

Weather:  Fair, with some cloud in the East.
